William H Seward

William H Seward was Secretary of State under President Abaham Lincoln. In 1863 he organized a visit with foreign dignitaries to impress upon the foreigners the extent of the resources of the North. The stop at Trenton Falls was the only visit on this tour that was photographed and it is believed that this meeting was instrumental in convincing diplomats that a Union Victory was invitable.

150 years later the Town of Trenton has created an event that will include speakers from the Seward House and a Play created by local actors to bring this piece of history to life.
